Vehicle Incident Kills Soldiers in Lithuania

Tragedy struck this Monday when three U.S. soldiers were found dead inside a vehicle that got stuck in the bog a week before. The search is still ongoing, without any attempts to give up until all soldiers are accounted for.

The accident occurred last Tuesday when both the soldiers and the heavily armored vehicle were reported missing during a training mission. The mission involved using an M88 Hercules to retrieve another tactical vehicle for repairs. A day later, they found that the truck was submerged in the muddy trap of a bog, trapping all four soldiers inside the vehicle.

Many Lithuanian and American soldiers joined in pulling the M88 Hercules out of the bog, using all kinds of pumps and construction equipment to lift the heavy vehicle. Unfortunately, the eventual recovery of the truck was overshadowed by the conform death of three soldiers, who likely perished at the hands of the dark swamp. The fourth soldier has not yet been found, so the rescue operation is still in full swing until the soldier is found. The search will implement the use of helicopters and griding the area for a full sweep.

The names of the soldiers have yet to be released to the public. The Lithuanian government shares its condolences to the brave soldiers and vows to continue the search with the U.S. Hopefully, the last missing soldier will be found soon, and the friends and families of the deceased can move on from their grief.
