Too Fast

by

Baby smirks to toddler smiles.
All our firsts together
Flew by too fast.

Life changes quickly:
A year of beautiful memories
Quickly fading, too much to catch.

Being a new mother
Seemed so daunting
Before all this time passed.

What seems like a lifetime later,
I’ve learned so much
About life, love, and myself, last.

I wouldn’t change anything,
The good, the bad, the in between.

This journey, being your mother,
It means the world to me.
