Stephon Marbury is a influential professional basketball player. Born in New York City, Marury was interested in sports at a young age, playing basketball for AAU team the New York Gauchos.

By his graduation, Marury was one of the top five recruits in the country. He eventually picked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and stayed with them until the 1996 NBA Draft. Marbury’s professional career started with the Minnesota Timberwolves and shortly after, the New Jersey Nets for two years.

Marbury was then traded to the Phoenix Suns, which he spent three years with, and then the New York Knicks in 2004. Outside of domestic teams Marbury began playing for teams in China including Shanxi Zhongyu Brave Dragons, Foshan Dralions, Beijing Ducks, and the Beijing Flying Dragons, after which he retired.

Marbury has won many awards and honors including two NBA All-Star and All-NBA Third Team honors, CBA International MVP, three CBA All-Star honors and more.
