The Walking Dead Still Lives On…

You would think that a show that has lasted for fourteen years and spans across eleven seasons would finally be retired, but in the case of “The Walking Dead”, you would be wrong. While the original show had its final episode back in 2022, it is still being kept around by the many spin-offs that have spawned to turn this show into an entire universe.

“The Walking Dead” television show first began in 2010, where it was universally praised by audiences for its compelling characters and creative action. The story of Rick Grimes and his group stretched across multiple seasons as they struggled to survive in the zombie apocalypse. Although the zombies became less of a threat as the show went on, the inner conflicts and relationships of the characters were what kept people engaged, as they hoped that their all-time favorites made it out alive.

It was this character-focused narrative that helped create the multiple spin-offs that extended the Walking Dead world. The most recent one is “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”, which follows the fan-favorite survivor as he travels to France. There have even been video games made to capture a glimpse of the show’s popularity. Whether or not you still enjoy The Walking Dead, it is still impressive that such a show has been able to stay somewhat relevant after all these years. It’s hard to refute that the show had a lasting impact on the zombie genre, which still manages to keep its hardcore fans entertained. Although I am not the biggest fan myself, it certainly has its moments and does everything it can to shock audiences. There’s no telling how far these series can go!
