Rachel Scott is a Jamaican fashion designer. Scott developed an interest in fashion during her childhood in Kingston, Jamaica. Scott learned to design and sew her own clothes and studied the deep intricacies clothing had within her culture.

Eventually, Scott began to serieously pursue her interest in fashion design through her time at Costume National in Italy. Following that Scott worked at J. Mendel, Elizabeth and James, and even rose up to be the VP of Design at Rachel Comey.

Scott would leave to found her own brand DIOTMA in 2018 as an avenue to represent Caribbean fashion in the industry at large. Scott’s brand became well sout after, collaborating with influential celebrities and artists including Keke Palmer and more.

Scott’s work has won her awards including the 2024 CFDA Award for American Womenswear Designer of the Year and the 2023 CFDA Award for Shop with Google American Emerging Designer of the Year.
