Ajak Deng is a South Sudanese-Australian model that has captivated admirers from continents over. Born in what is now Tonj, South Sudan, Deng, and her family became refugees in their own land in 2003 due to the outbreak of civil war; the future model would have the opportunity to move to Australia in 2005, and she has not looked back since.

Deng’s striking features and 5’11 stature brought her into prominence after her appearance at the 2008 Melbourne Fashion Show. Since then, she has been in high demand in both Australia and the world, flying out to work for world-class fashion labels such as Calvin Klein, Rick Owens, Kate Spade, Kenzo, Hermès, and Valentino. She has appeared in fashion shows for Oscar de la Renta, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, and far, far more. While Ajak Deng briefly quit the modeling scene in 2016, she has since made a much-welcomed comeback and has landed a spot as one of the faces for Rihanna’s explosively popular Fenty Beauty brand.
