Are More People Turning To Food For Skincare?

As the beauty industry rapidly merges skincare with makeup products, more and more customers are looking for alternative ways to maintain healthy skin. While spending money on skincare products and medical procedures has grown increasingly more common, some customers would rather not break their bank.

Recent trends have seen internet users turn towards food as a possible remedy for their skin. Thai comes after eastern beauty industries like K-Beauty have risen in popularity within the West. Many online have grown enamored with how clear the skin is for many asian celebrities, and while makeup and editing are a large part of it, a person’s diet is also a large factor.

What a person eats can determine how their body is affected, so, unsurprisingly, influencers would start trends on foods that improve skin. Foods like avocado, walnuts, tomatoes, broccoli, fish, and more are rich in omega-3s, antioxidants, and healthy fats, all of which help the skin.

While a variety of cuisines incorporate these foods, Korean food in particular has seen an increase in popularity due to the frequency with which these vitamins and minerals are found. Healthy eating in general will help the body, not just with clear skin, but also prevent other preventable ailments in the future.

Despite it being a trend for many, it is feasible to increase in popularity in the future. With how interconnected the world is thanks to the internet, healthy eating doesn’t have to be bland. There are plenty of tasty recipes that people can try from all cultures that can help with healthy skin.
