Since the release of her last album in 2020, Ariana Grande has been depriving her fans of any new music. After the release of her newest song, “yes, and?”, in 2023, Ariana posted a somewhat hidden message for her fans, uploading a picture with the caption reading, “see you next year.”
After the release of “positions” in 2020, Ariana took a little break from the music industry. However, this is not the first time the two-time Grammy winner has decided to temporarily step back from music. Between losing loved ones, terrorist attacks at her concerts, and mental health issues, Ariana Grande has definitely found space to take the time she needs in order to continue doing what she loves, for herself and her fans.
Her most recent break from music began when she was working on the set of “The Voice” as a coach. Working alongside Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, she judged singers and put together her own team of performers. She however, did not win the competition, and says that being a Voice coach is “harder than it looks.”
Most recently, the pop-star chose to accept a role in the new Wicked movie, saying that it is a “life-changing experience.” She has been casted to play Glinda the Good Witch, and has been seen posting about the filming process on her social media.
Although fans are excited to see her on the big screen, it’s safe to say that many of them would rather Grande go back to music, forgetting how she initially claimed her fame.
The most recent update that Ariana Grande has given to the public was on January 7th, surprising fans by announcing that she will be releasing some of the music off of her album soon.
Although the exact dates for the album release is unclear, it’s not a question that Grande will blow away listeners all around the world with her new music.
