The First Time I Got Obsessed With a Book Series, It Changed My Life

I’ve always loved books. But there’s a big difference between liking a book and fully spiraling into it. I’m talking deep in the fandom, writing theories no one asked for, lurking on forums, reading fanfiction at 1 a.m. because I need to know what happens if two background characters fall in love during an ...

My Hair Looks Best When I’m Not Trying to Impress Anyone

It’s always the day I don’t care. The kind of day where I overslept, barely made it out of bed and threw on the nearest sweatshirt. I’m not talking to anyone outside of my husband and family, fully prepared to hide from the world (as per usual). And somehow — ...

What If Campaign Promises Were Legally Binding?

The Quiet Power of Choosing Kindness in Film

Some movies don’t need drama to make you feel something (though I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for a good dramatic story). They don’t rely on car chases or massive fight scenes (I’m not looking at you, “Fast & Furious”… okay, maybe a little but I love you). Instead, they show us something ...

Okay, I’ll be honest. I picked up “They Both Die at the End” because the title shocked me. Like, seriously? You’re just gonna tell me that up front? No mystery, no plot twist? Just boom: they die. I almost didn’t read it with that kind of spoiler, but I’m really ...

If you’ve ever watched “Shameless,” you noticed one thing right off the bat: the Gallagher family is an absolute disaster. And I mean that in the most loving way possible. Their house is always falling apart, bills aren’t getting paid without the squirrel fund and someone is always lying, stealing ...
