Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny, is a popular Puerto Rican-American rapper and singer-songwriter. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Bunny is one of the leading lain artists in the industry.
Bunny gained an interest in music from his parents, who often listened to a variety of latin music including salsa, merengue, and pop ballads. Bunny also participated in his church choir until age 13, where he became interested in popular artists on the radio including Daddy Yankee and Héctor Lavoe.
Bunny began his career through uploading his songs on Soundcloud until his 2016 song Diles got him signed onto DJ Luian’s record label Hear this Music. Bunny released his first of six studio albums two years later. Bunny’s debut album X 100pre, peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 and was even voted 447th in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list in 2020.
Bunny had collaborated with many artists including Karol G, Cardi B, J Balvin and more. In both english and spanish speaking markets Bunny has sold over 70 million records globally. Bunny has won multiple awards Latin Grammy awards MTV Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards.
In addition to his music, Bunny has a significant career in film and professional wrestling. Bad Bunny has made appearances on WWE programming since 2021 and starred in multiple films including Bullet Train, Cassandro, Happy Gilmore 2, and more.
