Bobbi Brown is an American professional make-up artist, Born in Chicago, Illinois Brown began her career after graduating from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in theatrical makeup and photography, working In New York City as a professional makeup artist in the early 1980s.

Ten years later, Brown and her husband launched Bobbi Brown Essentials alongside ten natural lipstick shades she developed with a chemist. Brown continued with the company until December 2016, when she left to launch Beauty Evolution LLC. Brown continued to participate in the beauty Industry, launching more beauty lines like Jones Road in 2020.
