With a big laugh – and even bigger heart – musical comedy writer & performer, Cece Trezza, puts humor & hope back into art; drawing upon their knowledge from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film & Television in Los Angeles.

Trezza’s unique & optimistic writing style is best exemplified in their comedy musical, “Spiritual Awakening.” (Think “Everything Everywhere All At Once” meets “Hamilton.”) “Spiritual Awakening” captures Trezza’s real-life journey of exploring their inner mind, and meeting their Ego, Spirit Guides & Higher Self. Screened at & selected for PsychedelX 2025 & LMU’s 2022 New Works Festival, “Spiritual Awakening” continues to garner recognition, acclaim & awards throughout the festival circuit.

Cece Trezza is not only a songwriter, but also a singer. Performing under the stage name TREZZA, they are currently trailblazing an entirely new & unique musical genre: Queer Rebellion Pop. Drawing on inspiration from musical icons, such as Chappell Roan & Chance the Rapper, TREZZA uses music to speak out against societal injustices in an uplifting & powerful way – placing the power back into the people’s hands. (And if you’re lucky, you might even catch TREZZA freestyle rapping on the streets or subways of NYC!)

When they are not singing or writing, Trezza still finds a way to light up the stage, frequently performing stand-up comedy at open mics throughout the city. Drawing upon their humorous lived experiences & unique perspectives as a queer, neurodivergent individual, Trezza delivers a quirky & refreshing style of comedy. (Think Jenny Slate meets Larry David!)
