Chad Powers Coming to Hulu Tomorrow

That’s right, the upcoming TV show Chad Powers is set to have its premiere this Tuesday, September 30th. The premiere will be released with not one but two episodes, with each episode expected to be around 30 minutes in length. The show is expected to have a total of 6 episodes for its first season, with more seasons on the horizon depending on its popularity.

In this series, Glen Powell plays Chad Powers, an up-and-coming walk-on player for a college football team. However, Chad Powers is secretly Russ Holdiday. This disgraced, arrogant, and narcissistic quarterback lost his career after tarnishing his reputation at a championship game.

The premise of the show revolves around Russ Holiday as he attempts to use his false identity, Chad Powers, to reclaim his career in college football, often with hilarious results. While Russ is portrayed as an arrogant and dislikable person, Chad Powers is something of a humble folk hero in temperament.

Interestingly, the idea for the character was inspired by a real event that happened in the NFL. In 2022, former quarterback Eli Manning disguised himself by using realistic prosthetics when he appeared on his show, Eli’s Places, hosted on ESPN. After seeing this, the creators of the series must have loved the idea, and we got the Chad Powers Show as a result.

Besides comedy, Chad Powers will surprisingly have plenty of emotional, heartfelt, and serious moments within the show. At the heart of this story lies a theme of redemption. The weird interactions and jokes of Chad are there to make the viewers laugh, but Chad is not the only driving force of the show.

Chad Powers is a surprisingly deep story with comedy there to get you through the door and to keep you coming back for more. If you are interested, dust off your Hulu subscription and get ready to laugh!
