The most popular currently stands at around 228 million views on. YouTube. This pop art style music video was directed by French director So Me and produced by Imetrages. The video featured strolling Cudi around Los Angeles as overlays of graphics and abstract animation disrupt his mundane tasks.

Inspiration for the song came after Cudi’s uncle kicked him out of his house in New York City, after traveling from Cleveland Ohio to pursue a music career. When his uncle passed shortly after Cudi used the regret he felt of never being able to reconcile to write the song.

Day ‘n’ Night was Cudi’s lead debut single from his Man on the Moon: The End of Dave album in 2009 and had the third spot on the US Billboard Hot 100.
