Hailing from Tampa, Florida, 24-year-old Doechii–formerly known as Iamdoechii–is a rising singer, rapper, and songwriter known for her eclectic and inspired style.

Doechii started her career posting music on Soundcloud and YouTube. In 2016, she made the full plunge into the indie scene with the release of her first single, “Girls”, which gained her notoriety in select circles. In 2019, Doechii returned with her debut project “Coven Music Session, Vol. 1”, but it wasn’t until the 2020 release of her cheeky breakout single “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” that Doechii’s fame would skyrocket to new heights. The song became a viral sensation on TikTok–a feat that is surprisingly difficult to achieve for obscure artists. “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” is featured on the EP “Oh The Places You’ll Go”.

In 2021, Doechii continued her momentum with her third project, “Bra-Less”. In July of that year, she appeared on Isaiah Rashad’s acclaimed album “The House is Burning” with a verse on the third single, “Wat U Sed”. Rolling Stone described her sound as rap’s “pointed, provocative next big thing”, with other outlets praising her colorful, diverse discography as reminiscent of industry legends like Lauryn Hill and Missy Elliott.

In March 2022, Doechii signed with Top Dawg Entertainment. Her debut album is currently in the works.
