Donatella Francesca Versace is an influential Italian fashion designer and businesswoman. Born in Reggio di Calabria, Italy, Donatella had developed an interest in fashion at a young age. She got her start working with her brother Gianni at the Callaghan fashion label in Milan.

Eventually, Donatella would partner with her brother to establish the Versace brand in 1978 as its Vice president.  Donatella had hand in creating and designing the Brand’s image alongside its many accessories, shoes, and handbags.

Donatella was fully in charge of the Versus diffusion line, more of the Brand’s decision-making after Gianni was recovering from cancer in the late 1990s.

Following her brother’s murder in 1997, Donatella took the reins of the company, designing many Versace advertising campaigns that included popular artists such as Madonna, Courtney Love, Christina Aguilera, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Demi Moore, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and more. 

Donatella has won numerous awards, including the De Beers Diamonds International Award, Bambi Award for Fashion, and World Fashion Award at the Women’s World Awards, FGI Superstar Award, and more.
