Dua Lipa is now the global ambassador for YSL Beauty

British pop sensation, Dua Lipa, 28, is the global makeup ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty (YSL Beauty). Lipa has been the international ambassador for the brand’s “Libre” fragrance franchise since 2019, and she is excited to be hitting a new milestone in her relationship with the company.  

“For me, fragrances and makeup are another form of self-expression, a way to explore my playfulness, my creativity, and my individuality. I am thrilled to be on this journey as part of the YSL Beauty family,” Lipa said of the collaboration.

According to Highxtar, YSL beauty deleted all the posts on their Instagram account to x post a reel with the caption “Are you ready for what’s next?” This was followed by a second reel with the caption “Who’s hiding in the shadows? Catch her or maybe she’ll go…” accompanied by an image of a woman’s silhouette. They additionally went live on the platform to announce that the singer will be the ambassador for its beauty line.

“Dua Lipa brings an electrifying energy to our brand, inspiring women to not just wear makeup, but to make a statement about who they are and what they stand for. Her influence is a celebration of individuality, a statement of empowerment, encouraging everyone to embrace their unique beauty with confidence,” said YSL Beauty’s international general manager, Stephan Bezy.

The company further added that Lipa is “the perfect woman to lead the new generation of make-up consumers in 2024, beginning with a campaign featuring the ground-breaking lip gloss stick and viral sensation, Candy Glaze,” as per Fashion Network.

The singer shot her first makeup campaign for the company with director Nathalie Canguilhem in Morocco, within miles from the YSL Beauty Ourika Community Gardens where ingredients for the company’s “YSL Loveshine” lipstick franchise are “ethically harvested.” According to PR Newswire and Happi, the company will debut its new “YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Stick” online on March 15th and in stores by the end of March. Additionally, a national rollout of the brand’s nude shades will debut in April.
