Donald George Ruffin aka Duwap Kaine, is a American rapper and singer-songwriter. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Duwap got started at an early age uploading his rap songs to YouTube. Duwap continued to post his content online, even when he joined the Ocean Gang rap group under the stage name Dolphin God. 

One of his uploads titled Elmo Freestyle went viral at the end of 2011 and gained him some internet attention through memes.

Duwap would leave Ocean Gang shortly after the release of his debut project, Who is Dolphin God? in 2013. to focus on his solo career on SoundCloud.

His first major solo success was his 2016 single Pouring Codeine, which caught the eyes of many and even got a remix from Lil Yachty. Two years later the success of his singles would lead Duwap to release his debut studio album, Underdog, to great success. Duwap would later release a second and third installment in 2020 and 2022.

As his popularity grew, Duwap began to collaborate with other artists in his feuild including Ugly God, Kodie Shane and more. Duwap continues to be an proud independent artist with over 440,000 consistent monthly listeners on Spotify.
