Early Predictions for Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Everyone has been talking about the new Spider-Man film, set to release next year. With the reveal of the new suit and after the last movie’s bittersweet ending, people are dying to know more about the latest installment. How will this movie go about continuing the story of Peter Parker?

In terms of the story, the film will likely deal with Peter starting fresh, with his friends and the rest of the world forgetting his identity as Spider-Man. There are plenty of opportunities for him to reminisce on the life he once had and the struggles he faces being all alone. As for the antagonist of the film, we can only speculate that it will be one of the more obscure villains that has not yet made an appearance in the series. Kingpin, being a classic big bad guy for Spider-Man, could very well be the threat that must be stopped. It could also be one of the few villains that have been teased in the past, like Scorpion or Venom. In any case, it seems to me like this movie is going to focus on a conflict that is more street-level than anything too grandiose, which I think is a good direction to take.

I could also see this movie being the first look at “Avengers: Doomsday” for the end credit scene of the film. Spider-Man is being built up with Captain America and the Fantastic Four to face Dr. Doom, along with the other characters that will play supporting roles. I hope that this film does well enough to put the MCU back on the map, since it seems like they are finally getting their act together.
