Brooks Mason aka Eddie 9V is a popular underground artist who gained an interest in music at a young age, picking up the guitar at age six.

As he grew older, Manson grew interested in music artists outside the mainstream, preferring old school artists like Sean Costello, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, Rory Gallagher and more.

Eddie gained experience playing in local cover bands like The Smokin’ Frogs, and the blues band The Georgia Flood. Eventually, Manson struck out on his own as a solo blues artist and took on the stage name Eddie 9V.

Manson gained traction from his first 2019 solo album Left My Soul In Memphis. Manson followed up with the 2021 album Little Black Flies. Both albums received praise for being a  fresh take on the genre along side his voice, which was distinctly his own. His 2023 album Capricorn continued to expand his reach.

Mason’s latest album Saratoga, sees the artist switch towards a more groovy tune, with songs that travel through all the emotional ranges. Currently , Eddie 9V has around 178,187 monthly listeners on Spotify.
