Bio

Fleetwood Mac is an influential British-American rock band. Formed in late 60s London, the band’s main lineup is comprised of Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie. The band debuted in August 1967 and released its self-titled debut studio album a year later with the Blue Horizon Label. That same year, Fleetwood Mac released its second album, Mr. Wonderful, in August.

By the band’s fourth album, Kiln House, they transitioned over to melodic rock, all the while seeing additional members being added on and leaving the band over the years. In late 1974, the band welcomed artists Lindsey Buckingham and singer Stevie Nicks, which led their sound to change directions to pop rock. This led to their 1975 self-titled album to be the one to usher them into the mainstream, topping the United States’ Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, their 1977 album Rumors won the band the 1978 Album of the Year Award at the Grammys.

The band had many successful tours and even performed at Bill Clinton’s first inauguration in 1993. Some of their biggest achievements is being awarded wirth a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and receiving the MusiCares Person of the Year award from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, aka the Recording Academy.
