Former Vice President Dick Cheney has passed away

Today, November 4, 2025, former vice president Dick Cheney has died at the age of 84. He passed away due to complications from Pneumonia, cardiac, and vascular disease.

“His beloved wife of 61 years, Lynne, his daughters, Liz and Mary, and other family members were with him as he passed,” The family said in a statement as part of confirming his death.

Former President George Bush also gave his condolences for his passing, “decent, honorable man.” He continues, “History will remember him as among the finest public servants of his generation – a patriot who brought integrity, high intelligence, and seriousness of purpose to every position,”.

Dick Cheney was one of the most prominent vice presidents of the United States in the past few decades. He is one of the many politicians responsible for America’s involvement in the Middle East with the “war on terror”. In the public eye, Dick Cheney was the face of the “war on terror” during the war on terrorism in the Middle East. After the disaster of the war, he left office with an approval score of 31%.

Cheney has publicly defended his actions after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the advanced interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding, that were performed on captured terrorists. He has said, “I would do it again in a minute,”.

Dick Cheney will be remembered as a divisive man who helped the United States recover after the most significant terrorist attack that has ever happened in the country’s history. Like many political figures, he was divisive, loved by some and hated by others. He will be missed by his loved ones, and his contributions to the history of the United States will not be forgotten.
