Athlete of the Month for November 2025
Giancarlo Cruz-Michael Stanton is an American professional baseball player. Born in Los Angeles, California, Stanton played a variety of sports in his school years, becoming a three-sport athlete in high school. By his graduation, Santon had received offers from UCLA, UNLV, and USC to play football but eventually accepted a football scholarship from Tulane.
After being selected by the Miami Marlins in the 2007 MLB Draft, Stanton played in the minor leagues until his MLB debut in 2010. Stanton began his career setting a variety of records, including becoming the fourth player in the past 25 years to hit a career grand slam before his 21st birthday.
Stanton stayed with the Marlins until 2017, when he was traded to the New York Yankees. Stanton has won 5 Major League All-Star Games, an NL MVP and ALCS MVP award, two Silver Slugger Awards, two NL Hank Aaron Awards, and much more.
