Gilberto Santa Rosa is a Puerto Rican salsa singer and bandleader nicknamed “El Caballero de la Salsa” (gentleman of salsa). Santa Rosa is a six-time Grammy Award wining salsa singer and he has sold millions of records in Puerto Rico and the United States.  He started his career in 1976 singing for La Grande Orchestra. Santa Rosa signed with Ralph Cartagena’s Combo Records in 1986. His singles “Vivir Sin Ella (1990)” and Perdoname (1990)” went on to become smash hits. He is one of the most successful salsa singers of all time. Santa Rosa was born in August 21, 1962, in Puerto Rico.
