GTA 6 Potential Price May Cause Problems

Although it has become a joke online, GTA 6 has been long anticipated for its arrival ever since it was announced. Being the newest installment in Rockstar’s most popular game series, there is no doubt that the game will be a huge financial hit for the company. However, many rumors are going around that the game will have a staggering price tag of around a hundred dollars for the standard edition.

That isn’t to mention that the special editions and pre-orders will likely be higher than that. This is largely concerning since it could signal to the game industry that a price as large as this is now justifiable for any AAA games. Some might think that the increased price is reasonable for a game of this scale, but it is still too early to say that GTA 6 will be released with its promoted quality. This is especially possible in this day and age of video game production, where buggy messes are excusable for large games, and dozens of updates are needed to fix what should have been fixed pre-release.

Even if the game is everything we expected and more, the same can’t be guaranteed for future games. Rockstar Games usually put a lot of time and money into their products, so I can understand the price from a business viewpoint. However, if consumers continue to accept outrageous costs and not stand their ground, then these prices will only get worse than they already are. I think it would be best to not pre-order the game and make sure that it is worth the purchase before handing over your wallet.
