Gucci Westman was born in 1971 in California and grew up in Sweden. Now a New York-based makeup artist and beauty director, her career spans over two decades and she is widely considered one of the industry’s best. Originally known for her makeup work with celebrities, Westman worked with big names including Drew Barrymore, Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Elle Macpherson, Jennifer Connelly, and Jessica Biel.

 

Westman’s work has appeared in magazines including Vogue, W, and Harper’s Bazaar, styling looks for cover models including Rese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Anniston, Kim Kardashian, Cameron Diaz, and Nicole Kidman. Additionally, she worked backstage at shows including Carolina Herrera, Proenza Schouler, and Oscar de la Renta.Westman’s true claim to fame was received when she worked with photographers including Annie Leibovitz and Patrick Demarchelier. 

 

Hired by Lancome in 2003, Westman worked as an International Artistic Director, representing the brand at events, working with models, and designing labels.In 2008, Westman took up similar responsibilities with Revlon as their Global Artistic Director, developing the “Daydreamer” and “Suede Rhapsody” shade collections. Leaving Revlo in 2015, she began work on her own beauty collection, Westman Atelier, which dropped back in 2018.
