Is The End Near For The Russian Vs. Ukraine War?

As the tides of the socio-political climate fluctuate, conflicts are still at the crossroads. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protests, healthcare issues and economic hardships. The other side of the continent is dealing with a huge problem as well. A war that has affected the fate of European security.

This Friday, United States President Donald Trump and  Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to meet in Alaska. A cold yet interesting place to discuss the matter. It’s a summit that needs to be carefully watched as it could determine the trajectory of the Russian Vs. Ukraine war.

President Trump should prove to the world that he is a peacemaker. Many have criticized his ability to be a negotiator. Although allies have spoken highly of his capabilities to close a deal. This is still massively critical and his judgment skills regarding this conflict need to be on full display.

Vladimir Putin on US Soil is a risky endeavour. It goes against the fact that the summit had excluded Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky. Defeating the United States’ policy of “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine”. Ukraine should at least be represented, not just Putin, who amassed an invasion on Ukraine years ago.

Whatever happens, hopefully Trump’s negotiating skills need to come correct. Ukraine is not in the meeting and he’s set to make a deal with Russia? Questionable considering what happens if Ukraine is not in agreement with the terms.

A careful eye is needed to determine whether Trump is truly attentive to the future of European security.
