The prosecuting attorney in the case against P-Diddy just dropped a bombshell name in the ongoing lawsuit. An accuser known only as “Jane Doe” came forward, claiming Comb raped her when she was just thirteen. This week, she named a second artist, Shawn “Jay Z” Carter.
The woman said the attack happened at a New York VMA afterparty in 2000. According to the lawsuit, she did not have a ticket or an invitation to any afterparties, but she approached various limousines asking for a ride. One driver recognized that she “fit what Diddy was looking for.”
She said she had to sign an NDA before entering the party and never received a copy of the agreement. She was offered a drink, which made her feel woozy. She found a room to lie down. Later in the night, Carter and Combs allegedly entered her room and assaulted her.
The suit was initially filed in New York in October and only listed Combs as a defendant. It was then refiled on Sunday to include Carter. “My only heartbreak is for my family,” he said. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.”
Texas attorney, Tony Buzbee, filed several suits accusing Combs of rape. This is the first to include a second high-profile name. Combs and Carter have accused Buzbee of creating salacious accusations for money and attention.
Carter has issued a countersuit against Buzbee.
Combs’ legal team also released a statement referring to the suits as “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
Combs was charged by federal prosecutors in New York in September for racketeering and sex trafficking. He is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center without bail. His trial is scheduled for May 5.
