John Benitez, also known as Jellybean, is an American DJ, drummer, guitarist, songwriter, and music producer. He has produced and remixed for iconic artists such as Madonna, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Olivia Newton-John, Paul McCartney, and many more.

Benitez owns Jellybean Productions, Jellybean Soul and Jellybean Music Group, and in 1995, he founded the H.O.L.A recording label (House of Latin Artists) which developed hip hop and R&B music by bilingual artists and released songs in both English and Spanish.

Benitez’s success goes far beyond music, his executive producing role in HBO’s For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story earned him an Emmy and Globe Globe nomination. He is also known for his work as a music supervisor in countless blockbuster soundtracks, from the Oscar winning Call Me By Your Name, the classic Back to the Future, to hit TV shows such as American Horror Story, Stranger Things, Modern Family, and many more.

In 2005, Benitez was inducted into the Dance Musical Hall of Fame, and Billboard Magazine ranked him as the 99th most successful dance artist of all time in December 2016.
