Bio
Juan Soto is a Dominican professional baseball player. Born in Santo Domingo, Soto grew up in a family proficient at the sport, with a father who played in his local men’s league.
 
Soto’s professional career began with the minor leagues in 2015 as a free agent, officially debuting in 2016 with the Gulf Coast League Nationals’ rookie Gulf Coast League. Soto saw himself moved through other minor league teams including the Auburn Doubledays, the Hagerstown Suns, the Potomac Nationals, the Harrisburg Senators.
 
Eventually, Soto made his major league debut in 2018 with the Washington Nationals as the youngest player in the league at that time. During his time with the Nationals, Soto made his Silver Slugger Award , was runner-up in the 2021, and became the youngest player to reach the 100 career home run in Nationals.
 
Soto was traded to the Los Angeles Padres in 2022 and spent two years with the team. After playing over 150 games with the team, Soto was again traded to the New York Yankees in December 2023 with a one-year contract worth $31 million.
