Bio

Kali Uchis Karly-Marina Loaiza aka Kali Uchis is a Colombian-American singer-songwriter. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Uchis developed a love for music at a young age, learning to play piano and saxophone as well as participating in a jazz band. Outside of music Uchis also found a calling for other artistic talents including photography and film. 
 
Uchis music career began after she graduated highschool, with the debut of her 2012 mixtape Drunken Babble. Two years later she had her first major collaboration with well known rapper Snoop Dogg a song from his mixtape That’s My Work 3.
 
It was in 2015 where Uchis made her first big break with the release of her debut EP Por Vida. The EP showcased her many musical strengths alongside collaboration skills with various artists like Diplo, Tyler, the Creator, Kaytranada and BadBadNotGood. The EP’s success kick-started her touring career through the United States and Canada.
 
Uchis collaborated with many artist in her lead up to her 2018 debut studio album Isolation, including the Gorillaz, Jorja Smith, Reykon, Juanes, Daniel Caesar and more. When is released, Isolation gained worldwide acclaim.
 
Since then Uchis’s popularity within the music industry only grew. In between her second and third studio albums, Uchis collaborated with more artists including Lana Del Ray, Steven Lacy and even Mac Miller. Her second album, Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) peaked number 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart. Additionally, thanks to TikTok, 
 
Uchis’s single Telepatía spiked in popularity after being used in a TikTok lip-sync challenge. Currently, Uchis has four studio albums and 22 singles.
