Karlie Elizabeth Kloss is an American supermodel. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Kloss began modeling in her early teens after being discovered at a local benefit runway show at the age of 14. Shortly after, she posed for a cover and editorial spread for the June issue of Scene Magazine. Kloss later signed on with Elite Model Management Chicago.

Kloss began her career witha photoshoot with Abercrombie Kids by Bruce Weber before signing with Next Management. This led her to walk for 64 shows in 2008. By the end of the early 2000s, Vogue named her as one of the top 30 models of that decade. The next decade saw Kloss’s reputation in the fashion world climb.

She became a frequent model in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and appeared on numerous ad campaigns and editorials for W Magazine, American Elle, Allure, i-D, Numéro, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Juicy Couture, Jean Paul Gaultier, and more.

After leaving Victoria’s Secret, Kloss began appearing in media outside of the fashion industry. She has appeared in music videos from popular artists like Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood. She has even ventured out into the television industry as a host and co-host for Project Runway and MTV’s House of Style series, respectively.
