Kate Middleton gives update on her Chemotherapy

Back in March Princess Kate announced to the world that she had been diagnosed with cancer and would begin to undergo treatment. In a video released this morning she says that she has completed her chemotherapy and for the rest of the year she will undertake a light schedule of engagements.

The video message is filmed in variety of different locations and shows her and her husband Prince William as well as their kids George, Charlotte, and Louis as they walk through the forest. She narrates the entire video providing an update on her situation. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family…cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you…With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything,” she said.

Middleton tells what she has endured so far and how she will now continue to move forward. She says in the video, “Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus,” she said in a video message, some six months after revealing she had an unspecified form of cancer following intense public speculation about her health. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can”.

Despite her diagnosis, Middleton has made public appearances since March and now with her chemo coming to an end you can expect her to be out and about even more. Most notably she will likely  attend the Remembrance Day service in London in November.

She also left a message to others battling cancer and life threatening illnesses in her video. “To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey, I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright,” she says.
