Born on January 16, 1974, Kate Moss grew up in near London, and was discovered at the young age of 14 by a modeling agency. What made Moss stand out was her natural look, street style, and slight build– the opposite of what was seen by supermodels at the time. Moss soon became known as an “anti-supermodel,” and started a new era of modeling.

Moss rose to fame in the early 1990’s as part of the “heroin chic” fashion trend. It wasn’t until her collaborations with Calvin Kelin that brought her to a fashion icon status. The British model soon became one of the highest-paid models in the industry. As time went on, she appeared in ad campaigns for Dior, Chanel, Versace, and Dolce and Gabbana.
