Lola Emily Mary Young is a British singer and songwriter. Born in London, Young got her start in music at an early age. Her parents and great-aunt were at the forefront of her musical and creative development.

Her first successes came from winning the singing competition Open Mic UK at age 15 and finishing as runner-up on the CBBC show Got What It Takes? Young continued building her career through gigs until she caught the eye of her managers, former Amy Winehouse manager Nick Shymansky and Nick Huggett.

Young’s first single was released with Island Records, followed by two EPs, “Intro” and “Renaissance” in 2020. Her first big jump in popularity came after a 2021 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden and a John Lewis Christmas advert. This led to the success of her debut album “Stream of Consciousness” in 2022. Young’s next two albums were released in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
