Sophie Morgan Howarth aka Luvcat is an English singer-songwriter. Born in Liverpool, England, Howarth developed an interest in music at a young age, as she grew some of her inspirations to her eventual music career included Nick Cave, Avril Lavigne, The Cure, The Smiths, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and more.

Haworth began her career under the artist name Sophie Morgan and released her first single Marionette in 2016 followed by a second single six months later. Her first EP released that next year and brought her the opportunity to tour with the band The Waterboys across Europe. Following the release of her second and third EPs Haworth debuts under the project Luvcat in 2023, debuting the moniker’s first single, Matador, a year later.

Following its release she forms a band to go along with Luvcat consisting of Jack Fussey, Andy Richmond, Tom Fripp, and Will Jaquet. Luvcat released another single in February 2025 and is expected to release a debut album in October 2025.
