Bio

Marc Anthony was born and raised in East Harlem, known as El Barrio. He started singing as a toddler, performing for his family. He began his professional career in the 1980s in NYC clubs and as a backup singer. Marc released his first album in 1991, titled When the Night is Over. He achieved major salsa stardom with his 1993 album Otra Nota, featuring the song Hasta Que Te Conocí.

Since then, he has become a staple in Latino households. Vivir Mi Vida is his defining modern anthem and one of the most commercially successful salsa tracks, played at nearly every party. He has worked with artists like Celia Cruz, La India, Alejandro Sanz, Romeo Santos, Pitbull, Will Smith, and Maluma. Aside from being an influential singer, he is also a philanthropist and co-founded the Maestro Cares Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life for orphaned and disadvantaged children in Latin America and the United States.
