Michael Anthony is a German-American makeup artist. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Anthony grew up in various places in the US due to his parents being army officers. He first worked for Ariana Grande back in 2020 as a makeup artist and is friends with her.

Anthony showed an interest in art and makeup from a young age and grew his skills while employed at MAC Cosmetics. Eventually, Anthony left for New York City to start his career, where his work led him to work as an assistant for various industry leaders, including Pat McGrath, Diane Kendal, and Mark Carrasquillo.

That said, Anthony’s biggest break was his first Vogue covers for Vogue Australia and Vogue India with influential music artist Katy Perry. This success led him to the path of becoming a celebrity makeup artist. Anthony has regularly collaborated with many notable figures, including Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, and most notably, Ariana Grande.

Anthony’s first collaboration with the singer was for the music video for the 2020 single Rain On Me. Anthony continued to collaborate with Grande until he was eventually made one of her main makeup artists.
