ARTIST BIO

Mr. Pauer  is a Latin Grammy  nominated artist/producer/DJ from Venezuela, based in Miami, FL. He is considered one of the pioneers in the new sounds of Latin electrónica receiving recognition from the Latin Recording Academy receiving a nomination for  “Best Alternative Album”.Mr. Pauer creates an explosive and percussive sound mixing his Latin roots with worldwide electronic  beats making a joyful dance experience.

His sound has taken him to important stages like EDC Mexico, Latin Grammy, Central Park Summer Stage, Billboard Latin  Week, Vive Latino, Chicago World Fest, POP Montreal, SXSW,  and Hermoso Ruido among others. 

He  has share stage with important acts like Bonobo, Manu Chao, Hot Chip, MIA, Tego Calderón, J. Balvin, Ozuna, Rauw Alejandro, Foster The People,  Anitta, Buraka Som Sistema, Cafe Tacuba and many more. 

He is also the official DJ for the Latin Grammy and a favorite of many top world brands.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I’m a multi instrumentalist musician with a focus on percussion and electronic music production. Thru the years I have focus on researching the African drums heritage in Latin America and the Caribbean and finding parallel connections of beats, rhythms and music styles that were born in Africa. I find this fascinating how such a tragic part of history with slavery and colonization, left us in America with a very rich and colorful music that also evolved based on location, type of conqueror and pure magical accidents that generated a full spectrum of music styles known worldwide.

I perform and collect percussion instruments and record them to then apply it to electronic music adding my 2 cents to keep the music evolving and also embracing my heritage.

Some amazing highlights have been to be able to musicalize the Latin Grammy awards with my original music and also to perform in one of the biggest Electronic music festivals called EDC Mexico
