Nailah Hunter is an accomplished Carribian-American multi-instrumentalist and composer. Born in New York City and raised in Los Angeles, Hunter grew an interest in music during her time in church, between singing in the choir and learning instruments.

As she grew, Hunter focused more on classical music and gained an interest in piano, film scores classical piano. However, her interests changed once again when she enrolled in CalArts to further her studies. There, she grew to love the harp and made a significant transition towards spiritual and folk music.

Hunter officially began releasing music in 2019 with her single Apple, Marrow, Willow. As the years continued, Hunter’s skill with the harp became a mainstay in her works.

Following that, Hunter released her first two EPs, Spells in 2020, and Quietude the following year. However, Hunter began making waves with her first album limited-length Sleeping Sea in collaboration with Endel, a generative AI music app.

Three years later, in 2024, Hunter finally released her full length debut album Lovegaze.
