Nicki Ledermann is a well-known German television and film makeup artist. Raised in Munich, Germany, Ledermann began her makeup career after briefly studying at the Conservatory of Music in Munich. In the years prior she had majored in Latin and Fine Arts at Pestalozzi Gymnasium High School of Music and Art in Munich. 

Ledermann began working on the sets of independent movies in New York City, including Palookaville, Happiness, Walking and Talking, and Jesus’ Son. Her big break came when she joined the set team for the hit television show Sex and the City. Ledermann would go on to work on sets of other popular films in the early 2000s, like The Devil Wears Prada and P.S. I Love You. 

In recent years, Ledermann has worked on popular movies like The Greatest Showman, The Irishman, Joker, and Joker: Folie à Deux. Ledermann has won one Emmy, been nominated for 5 Emmys, two BAFTAs, and one Academy Award. Additionally, Ledermann was honored by the New York Women in Film and The Hollywood Beauty Awards for her overall achievements.
