Noah Kahan: 2024 will be his biggest year yet

If you don’t already know by now, Grammy-nominated Noah Kahan is a singer-songwriter from Strafford, Vermont who is making major waves in the music scene. Kahan was signed by Republic Records in 2017 and had his first taste of fame after his first single “Hurt Somebody” went Gold in the United States back in 2019. Kahan gained more traction once the pandemic hit in 2020 and while being stuck at home like the rest of us, wrote his EP “Cape Elizabeth” which he released in May 2020. While creating TikToks of the songs, he quickly began to gain a high number of followers and likes on the platform. In 2024, Noah has accumulated 2.1 million followers and 60 million likes on just TikTok alone.

In 2023, Kahan worked closely with major names like Hozier, Post Malone, and Kacey Musgraves, as well as starting 2024 performing on stage with Caamp. Many of these artists have features on Noah’s biggest hits and it’s clear he’s not stopping the collabs anytime soon.

Kahan took to TikTok this past week teasing a new feature with an unnamed voice, and fans believe this will be huge for Noah. The teaser plays a clip of Kahan’s song “Homesick” from his 2022 album “Stick Season”, and his fans have voiced their own opinions about who it could be.

Popular votes include Mumford & Sons’ lead singer Marcus Oliver Johnston Mumford, Mt. Joy’s lead singer Matt Quinn, and artist Sam Fender. This song feature is important for Kahan as “this artist inspired this entire record,” he states in the video before including the teaser. It’s safe to say this song collaboration is highly anticipated within the Folk and Indie scene and we can only expect big moves from Kahan in 2024.
