NY Yankees Are Not Out of It Yet

The New York Yankees showed last night that they’re far from finished. After losing two games earlier in the series, they managed a dramatic 9‑6 comeback win over the Toronto Blue Jays to stay alive in the AL Division Series.

They were down 6‑1 early on. That kind of shortfall in October tends to feel like a knockout. Instead of folding, the Yankees fought their way back. Aaron Judge launched a three‑run homer in the fourth inning to tie things up. Then Jazz Chisholm Jr. knocked one out of the park in the fifth inning, giving New York the lead.

It wasn’t just about the big hits (although those were noteworthy). The Yankees also benefited from a couple of defensive errors by Toronto that turned into chances they weren’t going to ignore. And after a rough start from their pitcher, the bullpen shut things down for the rest of the game.

The win forced a Game 4 back in the Bronx and gave fans reason to hope again. If you looked only at the first two games, you might’ve thought it was over. Game 1 was a lopsided 10‑1 loss. Game 2 was ugly, too. The Yankees were outscored heavily, but baseball never really ends until it ends.

This kind of turnaround matters psychologically. It’s one thing to talk about resilience, but it’s another to prove it when your season hangs in the balance. The Yankees just did that.

Now the pressure’s still on. They need another big performance tomorrow. They can’t relax. After what they pulled off last night? You can’t say they don’t have a shot. They’re not out yet.
