Peace Deal in Gaza is Signed

Yesterday, October 13th, a peace deal for the war over Gaza between Israel and Hamas was signed. This peace comes after several nations have come together to help negotiations progress between the warring forces. The United States has been instrumental in achieving the ceasefire, with President Donald Trump leading the negotiations personally.

While this peace deal is a big step forward in the effort to end the war in Gaza, there are still several issues that need to be resolved before any true peace can be achieved. While we may still be years away from a true peace, this deal marks the first big step towards it.

As part of this peace deal brokered between the two forces, the remaining living hostages held by Hamas will be released, and Israeli forces will pull back to defensive positions. In tandem with this, more external aid will be allowed into Gaza, and an international coalition, with the United States leading, will work to maintain the peace and help rebuild the war-torn Gaza.

While things are looking up, the tension between the two forces still remains, and issues are expected to arise in the coming days as negotiations continue. Communications between Israel and Hamas have always been strained, and that is not expected to change any time soon.  This peace shall be a delicate one, with many risks of a conflict reigniting in the region.

As of today, the peace is already being tested as Israel has said that they will only provide half the aid promised to Gaza due to the slow return of the dead hostages. Additionally, there are rumors that Israel has opened fire on Palestinians over an alleged ceasefire violation, but these have not been formally confirmed yet.

For the sake of all the innocent people stuck in Gaza, I sincerely hope that this ceasefire continues, and peace can be brought to Gaza.
