‘Pluribus’ Held #1 Streaming Views Spot Since Its Release

Vince Gilligan, an American screenwriter and filmmaker best known for being the creator of the hit TV shows ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’, has released another series called ‘Pluribus’. Much like his previous creations, ‘Pluribus’ has been a massive hit and has been at the top spot for most streaming views every day ever since it was released.

George Vincent Gilligan Jr has become a well-respected writer and producer who seems to bring great success to any project he touches. He has won four Emmy awards, six Writers’ Guild of America awards, a Directors Guild of America award, two Producers Guild of America awards, two Critics’ Choice Television awards, and a BAFTA television award.

‘Pluribus’ is Gilligan’s most recent TV show and is a drastic shift in tone and setting compared to his previous shows. Where in ‘Breaking Bad’ you follow a chemistry teacher who decides to become a drug manufacturer to provide wealth to his family after he is diagnosed with a terminal disease, ‘Pluribus’ follows a handful of survivors of a strange event that caused almost every human on the planet to become linked and all experience bliss.

The show is definitely a departure from the grounded and realistic premises of ‘Breaking Bad’ and “Better Call Saul’ which had no science fiction elements, but it has still captured the attention of thousands of viewers.

Pluribus is currently only in its first season, but according to Gilligan, it has three seasons planned and could end up with more depending on popularity and how the story progresses. ‘Breaking Bad’ was similar, initially having three seasons planned, but had six by the end of the story.
