Prehistoric Planet Ice Age: a Promising Follow Up

“Prehistoric Planet,” which dropped on Apple TV+ on May 23, 2022, as a major success. It gave a new perspective into how the dinosaurs as well as many other extinct animals lived with a well-done voiceover and narration by David Attenborough. It’s a lot like being brought back to when the “Walking With,” series was relatively newer. “Prehistoric Planet,” was able to provide an updated documentary of prehistoric life with stunning visuals that made it an instant classic and ended up receiving a second season. However, as the wait for the third season continues, a new spinoff has been announced as “Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age.”

From what has been shown so far, it seems to delve into the lives of many Ice Age paleo life, with some species being in the spotlight. One seems to be the Smilodon, also known as the saber tooth tiger. The coloration and grading as well as the way the light shines off the fur goes to show how great the visuals for the show will truly be.

Another animal that is shown is likely a Coelodonta or woolly rhinoceros. The depicted animal seems to be nuzzling a child, suggesting that there may be significant focus on the relationship between parent and child during the Ice Age.

“Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age,” seems to be focusing on many other climates from its focused time period rather than just the snowy glaciers, with several animals from more arid, dry climates being shown off as well such as a Glyptodon, an ancient herbivorous armadillo, as well as a parent and child sloth paring.
