Bio

Rafael Pabon, better known as Rafa Pabon in the music industry is a trending Puerto Rican reggaeton singer that infuses his music with jazz, funk, and afro-caribbean rhythms. His interest in music started at a very young age when he used to improvise in the school hallways with his friends. He went to a music school in Puerto Rico, “Escuela Libre de Musica de San Juan”, where he learned and polished his musical knowledge. In 2015 he dropped his first album to the public “Vida Respira”, which was well received by the latin community.

In 2019, Rafa Pabon entered in the top latin artists after his single success “Pa’ mi”, in which he collaborated with known urban performers like Sech, Cazzu, Feid, y Lenny Tavarez. With their help the song skyrocket and achieved more than 100 million views in YouTube. It has been a long and hard journey for him, and he is proud of his achievements and his success. He is an artist that enjoys experimenting with diverse genres and hopes to bring new and innovative music to the industry that has never been done before.

In honor to the Black Lives Matter Movement, Rafa made a single called “Sin Aire” which was inspired by the George Floyd protest, in which he speaks out against police brutality and racial discrimination. It is not the first time Pabon channels his frustrations on social injustice through songs, as of last year he dropped “Mano Arriba” inspired by the protest in Puerto Rico demanding the Governor to be removed from office. His poignant songs are a way of creating awareness in the fans that hear his music and a way for him to make a change in the world.
