Ranking The Best Easter Candy

As Easter flies by once again to bring joy and happiness in April, we are left with the eggs to clean up and the collection of candy we got for the holiday. Much like Halloween, Easter serves as a good excuse to eat tons of sweets, but there are always going to be certain candies that find their way into our baskets. There is no better way to say farewell to Easter than to pick out the best candies to eat.

Jellybeans have been a mainstay of Easter for a long time, and the reason for it is not because of the taste. Their egg-like shape and bright colors remind us of springtime and its symbolism for renewal and rebirth. It’s these meanings that bring about feelings of optimism and hope for the future to come. Ignoring all of that, jellybeans also just taste good!

Another classic treat for the holiday is peeps. Peeps are marshmallows coated with sugar and dyed to make them different colors. They are usually shaped to take the form of baby chicks and bunnies, which is why you only find people eating these during this time. They are often seen as the unofficial main candy of Easter, but there is one other treat that outranks them.

The chocolate bunny will always be the number one choice of candy. Its mass appeal and different varieties make it a solid choice as a gift. There’s a reason why 90 million bunnies are produced worldwide each year! Regardless of how you choose to celebrate Easter, I hope that everyone is having a great year so far, and remember to treat yourself every once in a while.
