Born Bryan Castro Sosa,  Ryan Castro is a singer and songwriter from the Pedregal neighborhood, north of Medellín, Colombia.

With his ability to flow with rhythms such as rap, reggae, dance hall, and reggaeton, he has been characterized as a versatile singer. It was the fellow Colombian singer, Kevin Roldán, who noticed Castro’s  potential and began to help him grow musically. He is now considered one of the new promises of reggaeton.

At seventeen, after finishing school,  Castro  began performing songs on buses where he got his first audience. “The experience was very cool and enriching because it made me gain a lot of confidence,” said the Colombian artist.

Within the last year or so, Castro has risen to stardom, establishing a friendship with Karol G as well as opening her first show at Medellin’s Estadio Atanasio Girardot and winning the 2022 Heat Latin Music Award as best new artist. He’s also a two-time nominee at the forthcoming Premios Juventud.
