Flashback Athlete of the Month for March 2026

Bio

Shaun Roger White is a legendary American former professional snowboarder and skateboarder. Born in San Diego, California, White developed an interest in skateboarding and became proficient enough at a young age. His skills eventually caught the eye of legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, who mentored him at the local YMCA. White became a pro at 16 and went on to compete and win at that year’s Winter and Summer X Games.

At the same time, White was also a well-known snowboarder, a talent that he also developed at a young age. When he advanced enough, he went on to compete in five Winter Olympics, winning gold in Torino, Vancouver, and PyeongChang. White also participated in the Winter X Games between 2002 and 2013.

Following his final Olympics in 2022, he has taken up surfing and established The Snow League as an initiative to get snowboarding to the same level as other major sports. White has appeared in a multitude of medial including American Dad and Disney Channel’s Cloud 9.
